Final Course Reflection

Throughout this semester, I have learned several things in the IT 365 course. I have learned how to create a website, create and upload an educational youtube video, make a concept map on Inspiration, use the tools on the computer designed to assist people with special needs, create quizzes, puzzles, and rubrics online, and how to find and use public domain images and sound clips online. These are all skills I will need in order to effectively incorporate technology in my classroom in the future.

Because I am no stranger to technology, I have many strong points. Some of my strong points include blogging, creating videos, using web tools, and keeping up with the latest advances in technology. Although I am strong in quite a few areas, I also have a few areas in which I need to improve. These areas include creating websites adn ;using assistive technology. I believe that I am weak in these areas because I have little experience in each of them. In this class was my first time using assistive technology and creating a website. I am certain that with practice, i will master these two skills.

My future learningi goals are learning how to create a more visually appealing website and familiarizing myself more with assistive technology. Both of these skills are important i fI want to be successful at teaching.
I plan on integrating technology in the classroom by applying all the skills I have learned in IT 365. I plan on creating videos to aid my lectures, create quizzes online, use virtual tours, use assistive technology whenever it is needed, and much more. I also plan to pass on to my students what I have learned in IT 365 so that they may become as skillful and comfortable with technology as possible and maybe even choose a career using these skills in the future.
