PhotoStory
The main idea of standard five is to stay up to date on all technological advances in order to continue to grow and improve as a teacher. This is a standard that would be better mastered from actual teaching experience, but I can think of one artifact that demonstrates my ability to keep up with ever-changing technologies: the PhotoStory video. When uploading this video to youtube.com, I came across a fairly new feature that I, before then, had not been aware of. This was the feature that allowed me to close caption the narration in my video. This would allow deaf or hearing impaired students to enjoy and learn from the video just as much as students with no hearing impairments. By taking advantage of this new feature, I was keeping up with and taking advantage of a technological advance.
