The artifacts I chose for this standard are the PhotoStory video, the blog, and the web site.  Each of these projects required innovativeness and creativity to complete. The video involved music, narration, pictures, and text - all of which had to be created or selected by me.  All of these things had to mesh well together in order for the video to be appealing to both the ears and the eyes. This was important because students learn more from things they find interesting and/or entertaining than they do from things they believe to be boring. I believe this video accomplished visual and auditory appeal. The blog also required a bit of creativity because it is a place where I shared my personal thoughts and opinions on a particular topic. The blog also took some reflecting. After reading the NETS.T standards, I reflected on each one in my blog, which reinforced my learning. Last, but not least, the web site was a project that was both creative and authentic. When I become a teacher, keeping the parents and guardians of my students informed on the happenings of my classroom will be very important to me. A web site is just the thing to help me achieve this. An effective web site should be designed to fit its purpose. The purpose of my web site is to let parents know a little about myself and the class their child(ren) will be in for that school year. Therefore, my website should have a colorful and fun design as well as a neat and organized one. This is an area in which I need to improve. Although my website  contains all of the appropriate information, it could stand to be a little more visually appealing.
